THE MAXIMUM
PRACTICAL STUDENT RATIO IS FIVE STUDENTS TO ONE INSTRUCTOR AND STUDENTS ARE OFFERED THE FULL USE OF ALL NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT (Plotters, dividers, pencils etc) /UP TO DATE CHARTS AND PUBLIICATIONS. THEORY STUDENTS WILL BE USING THE RECOGNISED RYA THEORY PACK WHICH CONTAINS Course notes, exercises, RYA handy plotter, electronic chart plotter voucher, practice charts, dividers and certification.

RYA PRACTICAL COURSESSTART YACHTING 2 DAYS £225A short introduction to sailing for complete beginners.By the end of the course you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board.
COMPETENT CREW 5 DAYS £595/ 3 WEEKENDS £690 (5 day course can be split over two short/long weekends)
This course is for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members. Experience living on board and really get to know life on a sailing vessel.
By the end of the course you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all the day to day duties on board. You should also have visited some interesting places and had an enjoyable trip.
DAY SKIPPER 5 DAYS £595 / 3 WEEKENDS £690 (5 day course can be split over two short/long weekends)
During this RYA day skipper tidal practical course you will cover practical navigation, pilotage, boat handling, seamanship, skippering techniques and berthing in marinas. Students should have assumed knowledge to that of RYA Day Skipper theory. Pre course experience should be 5 days, 100 miles, 4 night hours on board a sailing vessel.
COASTAL SKIPPER 5 DAYS CONTINIOUS - £625
The RYA Coastal Skipper practical course is the natural progression from the Day Skipper course. The course is 5 consecutive days with 4 nights on board. Students should have theory knowledge to that of RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster theory and hold the RYA Day Skipper practical course completion certificate. It is also advised that a reasonable amount of sailing has been completed since the completing the RYA Day Skipper including several night passages. After successful completion of this course students will able to skipper a sailing vessel on a coastal passage day and night
ICC ASSESSMENT - 1 DAY £160The International Certificate of Competence (ICC) is required by most European countries (excluding the UK) as evidence of a basic level of competence. Within the RYA scheme the ICC falls just below the level of Day Skipper practical. If you would like a copy of the syllabus please email us.
